The Big Bang Theory is a comedy series about four young scientists who know all about the world of physics, and one girl, who gives the physics world a real spin. Leonard Hofstadter is a smart guy who tries his best to complete his research and become famous for his work while also attempting to be the most socially-interacting guy in their friend group. Sheldon Cooper is one of the world’s smartest men with an intellectual capacity through the roof and a language with scientific words normal people only have one comment to (“What?”). Though it’s never been said by himself, all signs throughout the show point to him having the Asperger Syndrome, making him the smartest, but also least social, group member.

Californication is the story of Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny. Hank is a novelist who has recently moved to Los Angeles, which complicates his relationship with Karen, his ex-girlfriend, whom he still has feelings for and Becca, his 12-year-old daughter.
The show has been met with mixed reactions, leaning towards a more favorable position by most. The majority of those opposed to the show and it's explicit nature of drug and sex-laden scenes are that of the conservative groups. These groups, namely those found in Australia and New Zealand, have attempted to boycott the networks and the shows advertisers.

Grimm is about the fairy tales that you have heard before bedtime comes to life when Detective Nick Burhardt (David Giuntoli) thought that moving to Portland, Oregon was a good idea. It was until he started seeing things he couldn't explain such as normal beautiful women turning into hags or a normal man turning into a troll. Nick goes to his relative in the hospital who tells him that he has the Grimm, a supernatural power that is able to see the creatures in real life. With his partner Lt. Hank Griffin (Russell Hornsby) the pair track down a killer in a "Little Red Riding Hood" tale.
